Enfinite is proposing the construction and operation of eReserve9, a 20-Megawatt (MW) battery energy storage facility (BESF) approximately 6 kilometers southwest of the community of Hythe in the County of Grand Prairie, Alberta (the Project). Enfinite intends to apply to the Alberta Utilities Commission for approval to install the eReserve9 BESF, located at NW 34-072-11 W6M, to support the reliability of the distribution network and local electrical needs when consumers need it most. eReserve9 will be located on privately owned and previously disturbed land directly south of the ATCO owned Goodfare 815S Substation.
